ACCOMPLISHMENTS as a FIELD PROJECT MANAGER:
Revived a floundering $1.2m sub-grants component by implementing management and oversight systems. Converted reporting and outreach activities from liabilities to strengths for several projects. Co-led efforts to train over 50,000 in ICT skills to improve civil society, education, media, businesses, and governments across Eurasia. Secured two years of extended funding in Turkmenistan through proposal development and lobbying. Graduated over 80 of 100 computer centers to sustainability through business planning and capacity building.
SOUGHT-AFTER as a POLITICAL / ECONOMIC ANALYST:
Consulted visiting experts, officials, academics, and journalists from the US State Department, USAID, Newsweek, Deutche Welle, the Hollings Center, the Open Society Institute, and others. Provided risk assessment on Kyrgyzstan mining industry for US-based investment firm. Published widely in outlets such as Eurasia Daily Monitor, the Central Asia and Caucasus Institute, and the EPPY Award-winning EurasiaNet.
MULTI-SKILLED as a DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT:
Conducted proposal assessments for civil society, conflict prevention, and governance projects in Kyrgyzstan. Developed websites for Gates Foundation-funded global ICT4Libraries campaign. Compiled public assessment report for Gates Foundation-funded revitalization of Moldova’s libraries.
